Hopefully, his NBA Summer League stint will earn him a promotion out of the Long Island Nets and to the Mikal Bridges-led Brooklyn Nets for the 2023-24 season.

Mikal Bridges, Cam Thomas and Cam Johnson prove to be good centers to build a roster during the rebuild. Other young guns may also get an opportunity to play more. Now he can get the minutes he deserves because he is no longer competing against disgruntled superstars. This is also because the team is no longer in a winning position.

Houston Basketball’s 6-foot-3 point guard isn’t new to the Las Vegas atmosphere. He has had to fight for rotation spots in the NBA Summer League since his rookie year in 2019. It’s all because his name wasn’t called along with fellow draft class stars Ja Morant, Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett. His leadership and intangibles were on display for the Nets during his Las Vegas stint, which shows how much maturity he has developed over the years. These are integral skills that he must possess in order to be an effective floor general for the team.

His stats and gameplay were also good with Brooklyn. Brooks saw the court five times, averaging 29.6 minutes. This gave him an opportunity to showcase his deep experience and learnings from his NBA call-up. He shot from all three cylinders of the court at a highly efficient 50% field goal percentage. This rewarded Armoni with an average of 17.8 points per game. Three-pointers were also easy for him at a fairly high volume as he missed 47.6% of his shots from beyond the arc.

It was also quite easy for them to guard the small forward positions. This gave him 4.8 rebounds per game against opponents who were ahead of him.
