‘Below Deck Down Under’ Exclusive Preview: Luke gets the infamous disco ball helmet

Captain Jason Chambers has assembled the crew before they leave, and he takes a moment to present a very special prize in this exclusive preview down below below deck, Jason quickly notes that this is a “you can do better” award. He takes the helmet from the disco ball and brings it to the crew.

“But if you wear it. All juju goes,” Jason says. In previous seasons, disco ball helmets were widely given to the crew.

The use of helmets has led to many fan conversations about whether or not it is necessary. Jason recently addressed the controversy in an interview. Jason recently said, “I have a little bit of trouble here and there, but I’m more positive than that.” Chatters The Entertainment Hotline podcast.

He further said, ‘It is part of the Australian culture. I could sit there and scold someone in front of everyone for what they’re doing, but that’s like kicking ass and going in… I’ll show you what you did wrong. But I wouldn’t take the point of verbally shaming you. I’ll put you to shame with that helmet!”
