Cam Newton abused heckler at football camp

A fan attempted to grope Cam Newton during a football camp, and the NFL quarterback couldn’t stop himself from responding to his comeback.

According to video of the encounter, Newton was participating in former UCF kicker Donald De La Haye’s “1ON1” tour during his New Orleans stop when a fan taunted the former Panthers and Patriots quarterback.

Newton, the 2015 NFL MVP when he led Carolina to the NFC Championship, proceeded to confront the man after he got tired of being booed by fans.

At one point, the video featured the fan yelling at the NFL quarterback, “How many rings you got?”

Newton replied, “None”, to which the agitator said, “We got the same amount.”

That’s when Newton, an 11-year NFL veteran, again pointed the comment toward the fan and responded with an X-rated gesture.

“But, we don’t have the same bank account,” Newton said before pointing in the direction of the fan.

Then another fan said, “You’re too famous to act like that.”

The video cuts off shortly after that point, but not before Newton says, “No, no, don’t play the victim anymore.”

Newton last played in the NFL during the 2021 season with the Panthers when he started five games and completed 69 passes for 684 yards and four touchdowns.

Newton probably wasn’t wrong in comparing the bank account with that fan, who seemed about 20 years older considering what he’s done during his NFL career.

This latest incident was not the first time Newton had a heated exchange with a fan.
