Stanley Cup Finals Odds: Conn Smythe Trophy Winner

Sergey Bobrovsky: +200

Matthew Tkachuk: +360

Jack Eichel: +400

Jonathan Marchesault: +650

Why Bobrovsky Could Win Conn Smythe

Arguably the top goaltender during the post season so far, Sergei Bobrovsky has put on his best impersonation of a human wall to lead his team to the Stanley Cup Finals. Shockingly, Bobrovsky didn’t live up to his $70 million-dollar deal just a few seasons ago and has had some ups and downs going forward. Fast forward to 2023, and no skater or goalie is ending the season on a higher note than the 34-year-old net-minder.

In fact, the only goaltender who has played at least a dozen games in any of the last seven post-seasons had a higher postseason save percentage than Bobrovsky when Andrei Vasilevsky won it two years earlier. With back-to-back 50 and 63 save performances at one point in the playoffs, it certainly makes sense why Bobrovsky has the best chance to take Conn Smythe home in 2o23.

Why Tkachuk Could Win Conn Smythe The Spread

While the Florida Panthers may not have gone on such a historic run this post season without Bobrovsky between the pipes, the same can be said for a man of heroics in Matthew Tkachuk. Time and again, the former Calgary Flame has been more clutch than any playoff performer in recent memory, tallying three game-winning goals to lead the Panthers to victory. Overall, Tkachuk’s 21 overall points are more than anyone in the Stanley Cup Finals and he could easily take home the hardware, especially if Florida finds a way to win its first championship.

Why Eichel Conn Smythe Could Win

Shifting gears in the Western Conference, Jack Eichel, the Vegas Golden Knights’ leading scorer at center, has been a sore sight for a franchise that has been in dire need of some offensive firepower this season. After being limited to only 34 games during the 2021–2022 regular season due to injury, which ultimately saw Vegas miss the entire post-season festivities, Eichel returned to much cleaner health this season, playing in 67 total games. Bill received. Throughout the playoffs, there is no doubt that this is the best Eichel has played in his entire career. If Vegas Lords finds some way to bring the Stanley Cup to Sin City, it will be difficult not to reward Eichel with the Conn Smythe Trophy.

Why Marchesault Can Win Conn Smythe

Last and certainly not least, Jonathan Marchesault may have the narrowest margin of this bunch to take home MVP honors in the playoffs, but the 32-year-old Canadian has done his part in proving his worth to his team. Believe it or not, Marchesault extended his streak to five games with a goal on two shots in the series-clinching victory over Dallas. Overall, Marchesault has scored 17 points in 17 playoff appearances so far and is on a mission to show the rest of the hockey world that he is one of the most dangerous skaters on the Vegas roster. When the dust settles on this Stanley Cup Finals, don’t be surprised if Marchesault hears his name named as the Most Valuable Player of these playoffs.

Final Conn Smythe Trophy Winner Prediction And Pick

Clearly, all four of these other hockey standouts deserve to see their names in the Conn Smythe Trophy, but it will ultimately be Florida Panther star Matthew Tkachuk who etchs himself into the history books for the rest of time.
