Ji Tongi, co-producer of “Here Lies Love” starring Lea Salonga, reminded fans to follow theater protocol when she addressed the recent incident of fans breaking into the Broadway singer’s dressing room.
Salonga previously expressed displeasure when fans claiming to know Ji Tongi approached her in her dressing room and asked for a photo opportunity. According to the singer, fans had already been “evicted from the building” after attacking her, but returned to the venue.
Salonga said that she initially gave her fans the “benefit of the doubt” by saying that they were “friends” of G Tongi, but the singer was later told that the show’s production staff “had no idea” who the fans were.
Through her Facebook page from last July 18, Ji Tongi shared a screenshot of her Threads post, in which she appeared to refer to the event and instructed fans to head to the designated area if they wanted to meet the music artists.
“A huge thank you to everyone in the Philippine community who came from all over the world to watch and support ‘Here Lies Love’!” We really appreciate everyone who followed our safety protocols for our artistes,” said Ji Tongi.
Reacting to the post, a friend of G Tongi sarcastically said, “It’s like [you] Say don’t sneak past security, invade the holy of holies of artists, and then give up your name to get your picture taken with Lee?!
“Bingo!” The actress replied.

G Tongi also shared singer-producer Annie Nepomuceno’s post, which featured a photo of her, G Tongi and Salonga along with two other companions.
“Ganito Dapat- In the list, in the specified area, Kasam si ji tongi kahit photobomber [at] Hindi name drop lang,” Nepomuceno captioned her post, to which G Tongi nodded in agreement and said, “Best post ever!”
Meanwhile, Christopher Karpila, the uploader of the locker room incident, has said that he will not apologize for what happened because he believes he did nothing wrong. ,RA
