Why would Jay Herbert win?
Jay Herbert will fight in London for the fourth time in a row. This exposure to the venue and the support of the home crowd could provide an extra boost to Herbert’s confidence and motivation. Fighting in front of a supporting crowd can often give the fighters an edge in terms of energy and speed, and this can also help if the fight makes it to the judge’s scorecards.
Herbert is known for his striking prowess, with nine of his 12 professional victories coming via knockout. His powerful and accurate striking can pose a significant threat to Ziyem. If Herbert can keep the fight going and use his striking arsenal effectively, he has a good chance of picking up the win.
Herbert is playing a draw with Ludowitz Klein in his last fight. Although it was not a victory, Herbert demonstrated his resilience and ability to go the distance against a tough opponent. This experience must have fueled his determination to come back and win in his upcoming encounter against Ziyam. Herbert’s hunger for liberation may have been the driving force in his performance.
Why would Fares Ziam win?
Fares Ziam’s professional record is 13-4 with three wins in five fights with the UFC. He has faced tough competition in the octagon and has proven himself against skilled opponents. Herbert, on the other hand, holds a 12-4-1 record and has only two wins in his six UFC appearances.
Ziyam is an accomplished warrior with a variety of skills. He has demonstrated his striking, grappling and submission abilities in his previous fights. This versatility can make him unpredictable and difficult to game plan against. Herbert, although known for his striking ability, has shown some weaknesses in his ground game. If Ziaum can take advantage of those weaknesses and take the fight to the ground, he could have a significant advantage.
Ziam is coming off a unanimous decision win over Michel Figlak at UFC Paris. The win demonstrated his ability to go the distance and win against a tough opponent. Ziam’s recent success and determination to move up the lightweight rankings will only cause him to work hard to find his second winning streak inside the octagon.
Final Jay Herbert-Fares Ziam Predictions and Selections
This will be a high level contest between these two lightweight contenders and fans will be excited about it. Herbert is the more dangerous fighter between himself and Xiam. He has recorded knockouts in three of his six bouts with the UFC and hurt his last opponent in Ludovit Klein. Herbert is certainly the more dangerous fighter with two out of three knockdowns in his six bouts, but he has also lost two of those six bouts.
Xiaam is a smart and technical fighter who has some of the same qualities as Herbert. The thing about Ziyam is that he is more defensive on the feet and has now added some grappling to his game as well, rounding out his skills. If he is able to stay away from Herbert’s power then you can expect Xiamen to continue his winning ways and send Herbert packing.
Final Jay Herbert-Fares Ziem Predictions & Picks: Fares Ziem (-164), Over 2.5 Rounds (-152)
