Los Angeles Chargers Betting Special For 2023

The Los Angeles Chargers will be hoping to quickly overcome their post-season loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars as they embark on a promising 2023-24 campaign. It’s time to continue our NFL odds series with predictions on the Chargers season betting special.

It’s still hard to believe that a talented team like the Chargers blew a 27-0 lead on one of the NFL’s biggest stages. It was a primetime night game in Jacksonville on wild card weekend. The Chargers’ defense forced Trevor Lawrence to throw four interceptions early in the game. It looked as though the Bolts would walk away with a crushing defeat, instead, the Jaguars won the game on a field goal as time expired. The Jags did not hold the lead for a second in that game and still advanced to the Divisional Round.

Outside goes Joe Lombardi and in comes Kellen Moore. Chargers GM Tom Telesco said that the second Moore was available after being traded from the Dallas Cowboys, he knew he would have to go full throttle in the OC. Moore served a record number of times as the OC during his tenure in Dallas and should give Justin Herbert the freedom to let the ball loose. Despite the Chargers finishing as a 5-seed last year, we didn’t really get to see what Herbert was capable of… and a big reason for that might be the fact that he broke almost all of his ribs in Week 2.

The Bolts could be a completely new team this season. And they will be one of the more interesting teams to watch in the AFC.

Los Angeles Chargers Will Score 1+ Touchdown In Every Regular Season Game (-160)

The value isn’t great, but you can be sure the Chargers will score a TD in every game they play this season. The toughest defenses the Chargers will face all season long will be the Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos, and that won’t happen until after Week 14. With Kellen Moore calling the plays, I expect the Chargers to take it a step further this time. Moore said he expects Herbert to use his arm more this year, which means we could see Herbert really excel. Bolt went out and drafted two receivers from TCU in Quenton Johnston and Darius Davis to team up with Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and Josh Palmer.

Austin Ekeler has scored more TDs than anyone in the last two seasons. With their ability to find the endzone on runs after handoffs or catches, the Chargers have a chance to be one of the highest scoring teams in the NFL.

Bonus: The Los Angeles Chargers Will Score 1+ Passing Touchdown In Every Regular Season Game (+370)

Adding up the TDs in every game, I really expect Herbert to have at least one passing TD in every game this season. There were three occasions last year when Herbert did not throw the ball for a TD. However, with a new OC who wants to see Herbert shine, that could be an easier task.

The Los Angeles Chargers Will Beat The Denver Broncos On The Road And At Home In The Regular Season (+150)

The Chargers beat the Broncos 19-16 at home last year in that unlikely Monday night game. In the final game of the regular season in Denver, the Chargers lost to the Broncos at the end of the game after head coach Brandon Staley ultimately benched all of his starting players to save the playoffs. This season, LA will not play the Broncos in Week 18, but instead in Weeks 14 and 17. The identity of the Chargers will be known by then and if we see what we expect from them, they should be able to beat their rivals in close affairs. The Broncos’ defense will be excellent as always, but we’re not so sure about Russell Wilson and the offense.

Justin Herbert would score 5+ rushing touchdowns in the regular season (+700)

Hardly likely for this prop to happen, but remember, Herbert ran for five TDs in his rookie season. We don’t know what to expect from Herbert and the Boltons’ attack this time around, with Moore running the show. The redzone package for the Chargers is lethal when healthy. They include Ekeler who is a TD machine, a 6-foot-9 tight end named Donald Parham II, and now two jump ball threats in Williams and Johnston at wideout. Even with all of that, we could see Herbert escaping the pocket and running into something like he’s done before. “I was in, I was in” – Herbert.

Final 2023 Chargers Betting Predictions Special: The Los Angeles Chargers would score 1+ a touchdown in every regular season game (-160); The Los Angeles Chargers would score 1+ passing touchdowns in every regular season game (+370); The Los Angeles Chargers would beat the Denver Broncos on the road and at home in the regular season (+150); Justin Herbert would score 5+ rushing touchdowns in the regular season (+700)
