The Dalvin Cook rumor has been circulating for over four months now. At first, when the Vikings re-signed Alexander Mattison in March, people assumed Cooks would be traded or released, and they weren’t wrong. The process lasted until 9 June and ended with Cook’s release.

After releasing the aforementioned Cooks six weeks ago and waiving cornerback John Reed on Wednesday, Minnesota actually has two open roster spots.

The Detroit Lions parted ways with Badgley this week and he will remain on the free-agent wire until further notice.
