Pistons-Magic Summer League Predictions, Odds, Picks, How To Watch

The Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic meet for Game 1 of the Vegas Summer League! It’s time to continue our NBA odds series with Pistons-Magic predictions and selections.

The Pistons finished the 2022 season with the worst record in the NBA. Somehow, the basketball gods punished him weeks ago by giving him the fifth pick in the NBA draft in the draft lottery. With that selection, they selected Ausar Thompson, the twin brother of Amen Thompson, who debuted for the Houston Rockets on Friday night. Ausar Thompson is not only an elite basketball player, but he is also a dynamic athlete who can contribute in many ways. He may not be a scoring threat for Amen, but that doesn’t stop him from making winning plays. The organization looks forward to launching the tool later today.

The Magic had the sixth pick in the draft and took 6-foot-7 point guard from Arkansas, Anthony Black. Black was one of the top players in the country last season. It will be interesting to see what the Magic do in a crowded backcourt. The Magic also had the 11th pick and selected Jett Howard, the son of Jawan Howard.

Why piston can cover dilation?

Detroit will definitely be the top team in this entire tournament. Playing alongside Thompson, Jaden Ivey and James Wiseman will be working to build chemistry this summer. Rookie Marcus Sasser has added another notable name and other returning players to the team are Isaiah Livers and Jalen Duran. It’s a good base of players, and if they play well this summer it will give them confidence going into the regular season. When Cade Cunningham returns to form, this could be a scrappy team.

Last season, Thompson averaged 16.3 points, 6.9 rebounds and 6.1 assists for the Overtime Elite.

Why can magic cover diffusion?

Are they the Orlando Magic or the Michigan Wolverines? This squad includes three former Wolverines… Caleb Houston, Jett Howard and DJ Wilson. The Magic are expected to play all three of them together for most of this tournament. Another guard who stands out is former UCLA Bruin Tiger Campbell. Tiger led the Bruins to Final Four appearances and several March Madness appearances.

Anthony Black averaged 12.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists for the Razorbacks last season.

Ultimate Pistons – Magical Predictions and Selections

It is going to be a tough game to predict as both the teams have excellent rosters. I expect the Pistons to show that they are made immediately. Some of these guys will be on active rosters in the autumn, so have the Pistons cover this spread for Game 1. I also like the over in this game.

Final Pistons-Magic prediction and selection: Pistons -5.5 (-106); over 185.5 (-110)
