P/PTSD Perspective: July 22, 2023
1) The Strange Vikings Odyssey of Cam Dentzler: The mysterious corner in the Gopher State still has plenty of supporters. A promising rookie season foreshadowed a long-term starter at one of the game’s most important positions — cornerback — but the former third-round pick is now on his third NFL team. Meanwhile, the Vikings need help at cornerback.
2) A trade could be on the Vikings radar in the 2023 season: Yes, it certainly can. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has proven time and time again that he’s got a taste for business, and one has to wonder what’s next. I’ve got my eye on some players,
3) Navigating the Danielle Hunter Deadlock Just Got Easier: Just another data point in the ongoing saga that is Danielle Hunter’s contract issue. The likelihood is that Pittsburgh’s deal of the young pass rusher will help clear the way forward for Hunter and Minnesota.
4) Road To 53: OLB Andre Carter’s Skills Haven’t Been Exaggerated: Long and strong, Carter has a chance to stay on the roster. Given the (relatively) huge amount given to him as a UDFA, Carter should be seen as one of the favorites to land the depth position. He would fight against DJ Wonum, Patrick Jones II and Luigi Villain (among others).
5) Vikings Rivals Makes Another Interesting Move At The Quarterback Position: Unless something truly unexpected develops, the Green Bay QB position will continue to inspire very little confidence. Jordan Love may have the ability to get the job done, but he’s stepping into a tough position considering he’s replacing Aaron Rodgers (who replaced Brett Favre).
