Tracking Every NBA 2-Way Contract Ahead Of The 2023-24 Season
From the team’s best player to the 15th man on a roster, every player in the league has a role to play, regardless of their status in NBA free agency. Even those who don’t have an actual roster spot have played important roles through the years, as two-way contracts have suddenly become an integral part of every franchise’s success.
During the 82-game regular season, the league’s teams continue to grapple with injuries as well as wear and tear on some of their best players. Having depth and young talent that can develop in both the NBA and the NBA G League is beneficial in today’s league, and two-way contracts have been used more and more over the years.
Duncan Robinson, Luguentz Dort, Alex Caruso and Naz Reed are just a handful of players who have earned lucrative contacts over the years after starting their careers on two-way deals and now, with this upcoming third two-way roster spot. Years, 30 and young talents will get a chance to follow in his footsteps.
The NBA Summer League in Las Vegas has just concluded and many of the standout performers from this summer have earned their chance to play in the league through two-way deals.
During the NBA offseason until the start of the 2023–24 season, teams will add and replace people who are on two-way contracts. Here’s an updated look at who has agreed to two-way contracts for the upcoming season.
